Cousins support local community project with McLaren Construction Group and Quintain

A selection of the team at Cousins have contributed to the renovation project for the Barnham Park Community Complex, alongside McLaren, Quintain and the team at the Young Brent Foundation (YBF). Our Assistant Contracts Manager Tomas headed up a small team to complete the decoration works in early February, which involved internal painting and decorating to the kitchen, offices, and lobby.

Barham Park Community Complex houses several community led organisations, from art spaces, local library, Nepalese Community Centre, and the Veterans snooker hall. With broken walls, cracked doors, falling ceiling and paint work full of damp, the complex required refurbishing. In 2020 during the Covid pandemic, the Young Brent Foundation stepped in and after discussions with Quintain, were successfully able to secure plans for the refurbishment.

Young Brent’s Foundation is a needs led community partnership model that unites a diverse voluntary youth sector, and creates a strong united voice, equipping members with the training, resources and financial support they need to increase overall capacity and develop a more sustainable future to benefit young people.
