101 on Cleveland is a boutique collection of stylish apartments spread across a trio of buildings, consisting of 88 high-end residential units, 15 affordable units, including four premium penthouses with private rooftop terraces.
Located in the heart of Fitzrovia just moments from the West End, Cleveland Street offers its residents a suite of hotel style amenities such as a resident’s lounge, fine dining, garden, spa and gymnasium, 24-hour concierge, and underground parking.
PROJECT TASKS AND CHALLENGES
Working on behalf of McLaren, we carried out decoration works to all apartments, communal areas and back of house areas consisting of bike stores, bin stores and plant rooms.
Apartments at 101 on Cleveland feature open-plan spaces, high ceilings and generous windows; the four penthouses’ overlooking the city of London have been decorated to the highest standard with paint, wallpapers, and polished plaster.
The smallest of buildings consists of 15 affordable units, decorated using Dulux water-based eggshell to all walls and ceilings.
Apartments in the remaining two buildings were finished with a neutral pallet in Dulux Durable Flat Matt and Diamond Eggshell, while the communal areas have a darker tone consisting of dark carpet flooring with engineered oak borders and wallpapered walls that compliment the painted finishes.
Throughout the project we worked closely with McLaren and the plastering contractor to ensure the decoration works were faultless, resulting in each wall being handed over individually.
For the feature walls in the living area, integrated lighting and downlights shine directly onto the wall highlighting every detail within the plaster finish, whilst the finish was hand applied and British standards are noted, these walls were completed above and beyond those standards.
PROJECT RESULTS
During the project, we asked Dulux to carry out a visit to assist in the reporting of our hand applied finish with the use of their product, the outstanding quality was noted within their report.
Attention to detail was foremost on this project for all involved. Cousins have successfully completed the decoration works achieving an exceptionally high-quality finish.
