Signature Care Kingston
Coombe Hill Manor is a prestigious residential care home, newly built in SW London close to Kingston and Wimbledon Village. Providing outstanding facilities and services in a comfortable and homelike environment, the home specialises in exceptional residential and nursing care, with an emphasis on dementia care in as normal an environment as can be achieved.
Cousins’ operatives carried out the painting and decorating work to private rooms, communal and ‘backroom’ areas over a period of five months. Finishes included wallpaper, gilding, hygiene coatings, staining, gloss and emulsion paint. Work was completed to a very high standard to meet the exacting requirements of our client, Signature Care Homes and their architects, PRP Architects.
The building is designed to provide a wide range of facilities for residents including a spa, hair salon, art gallery, art studio, cinema, two restaurants (fine dining and bistro style), coffee areas & kitchens and many sitting or lounge areas of different ‘feels’ in which residents may socialise. Each room has its own decoration scheme to provide as much choice to residents as possible.

Signature Care Ascot
The development at Ascot Grange is the second in the succession of Signature homes at which Cousins have carried out the painting & decorating works, following our award-winning collaboration at Coombe Manor. The paints specified were from Dulux ranges and Cousins decorators applied all paint finishes throughout the property, including wall coverings which were specified extensively throughout the building to create a homely and luxurious feel.
The specification called for 17 different wall coverings and over 30 different paint colours, which required site supervision of the highest order to ensure the correct materials were sourced to meet lead times and correctly allocated at site. The contract was carried out over a 20-week period and at peak production, 15 painters and wallpaper hangers were deployed at the site.

Signature Care Reigate
The decoration to this new build Senior Living accommodation was the third such project undertaken by Cousins. A wide range of colours and wallcoverings are specified, which creates areas of distinct character within the building.
Cousins’ systematic and robust approach to project preparation supports our staff and our Principal Contractor partners in achieving the required quality of finish, completion on programme and meeting the allocated budget. The project was highly commended by our trade body The Painting & Decorating Association at the annual Premier Trophy Awards for 2018, recognising the high quality of our work and service, and our clients’ satisfaction with the finished product.
